Meet Grace Norman
Grace was born with a congenital condition called Amniotic Band Syndrome that took her left foot in utero. Grace was born into a very athletic family and from a young age was into sports. She played soccer, softball, basketball, and then finally felt at home with running and swimming. She ran against able bodied athletes and became the first amputee in Ohio state history to compete and podium at the high school track & field state championships. At Cedarville University, she ran NCAA division 2 cross country and track.
At her first Paralympic Games, the 2016 Rio Paralympics, Grace won a gold medal in triathlon, and the next day, won a bronze medal in Track & Field (400-meters).
She would add two additional Paralympic Games (and medals) to her experiences: a silver medal from the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020 and a gold medal from the Paris Paralympic Games in 2024.
Grace carries many values into her training, racing, and everyday life: integrity, authenticity, determination, and faith.
